“Imo on the Rise”: Archbishop Opoko Congratulates Gov. Hope Uzodinma on President Tinubu’s Visit and Landmark Projects Commissioning in Imo.

Owerri, Imo State – In a heartfelt congratulatory message, the Archbishop of the Methodist Church Nigeria, Archdiocese of Umuahia, His Grace, The Most Revd Dr. Chibuzo Raphael Opoko, TFSG, DOB, JP, has commended the Executive Governor of Imo State, His Excellency, Senator Hope Uzodinma, on the successful hosting of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, during his visit to commission landmark infrastructure projects in Owerri.
On Tuesday, September 30, 2025, President Tinubu commissioned four major projects under the stewardship of Governor Uzodinma: the Assumpta Flyover, the dualised Owerri–Umuahia Road, the refurbished Concord Hilton Hotel, and the state-of-the-art Emmanuel Iwunanyanwu International Conference Centre.
Archbishop Opoko described the event as a “defining moment in the infrastructural and socio-economic renewal of Imo State,” noting that Governor Uzodinma’s administration has delivered on projects that directly enhance mobility, tourism, and business opportunities across the state.
He further highlighted the completion of the Owerri–Orlu Road and the Owerri–Okigwe Road under Governor Uzodinma’s leadership, calling them “strategic arteries that are easing travel, boosting commerce, and linking communities with greater efficiency.”
“Your Excellency, these achievements are not only physical monuments but symbols of hope, progress, and vision for Imo State. With the commissioning of these landmark projects, you have written another chapter of legacy in leadership,” Archbishop Opoko remarked.
The Archbishop extended prayers for Governor Uzodinma’s continued strength, wisdom, and courage in steering Imo State toward sustained peace, unity, and development.
